As any parent of two or more is well aware, the birth of a new sibling can be rough on older children – particularly when the kid in question is going from being an only child to sharing the spotlight with the new addition. Even if your firstborn is excited about their impending younger brother or sister when you're pregnant, it's one thing when the baby is a theoretical new playmate and another thing altogether when he or she is born and hogging all of mom's time and attention.

Pop star Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, found a smart and simple way to make sure their 5-year-old daughter knows that she's loved and appreciated as much as ever after the birth of their new baby boy Jameson Moon – they threw her a "Big Sister" party.

On Saturday, Pink shared a sweet family photo on Instagram (pictured above), showing herself, daughter Willow Sage, and Jameson at the casual shindig. "Congrats Big Sis! #bigsisterparty," Pink captioned the photo. (If I had to guess, based on Willow's reaction in the photo, the party was a total success.)

After all, Willow might have needed some consoling. During Pink's Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she opened up about Willow's struggle adjusting from only-childhood to being a big sis. "I literally put Jameson down when she walks in the room," Pink told DeGeneres. "[Willow is] a little weepy these days, so we're working it out."

It's very apparent that the singer and her husband have been taking extra care to make sure that their daughter felt included at each stage of Pink's pregnancy. The 5-year-old appeared in the stunning maternity shot that Pink posted to Instagram to announce her "surprise!" pregnancy back in November.

Shortly after the family welcomed little Jameson, Pink also shared an adorable photo of her daughter holding her new baby brother.
