PARKMALL is expanding its gross leasable area with the development of the West Strip, located beside the public utility vehicle (PUV) terminal.

Construction of the West Strip started in December 2015, in keeping with the continued development of the Mandaue Reclamation Area and the changing lifestyle and behavior of Cebu consumers.

In a statement, Parkmall said the construction of the West Strip is the first phase of Parkmall’s three-year redevelopment plan, which also includes the construction of a parking building and additional leasable spaces in the Enclave building.

The West Strip will house at least 20 tenants with longer operating hours to accommodate guests of the nearby hospitals and hotels. It is targeted to be completed by the last quarter of this year.

The facade of West Strip will feature sun baffles, as well as a wave roof structure consistent with the mall’s al fresco roof design.

An outdoor escalator will provide direct access from the PUV terminal and parking lot to the second floor of the West Strip and the main mall.

Parkmall recently opened the newly refurbished Central Bark in time for the 5th Cebu Dog Sport National Competition during the Pet Festival Philippines last month.

The redevelopment was aimed at making Parkmall an even more conducive venue for pet events.
