Road Closures, Flooding, Outages Hit Burke

BREAKING: Flooding has closed several roads around Burke, while dozens of residents lost power.

BURKE, VA—Outages and flooding from the rainy weather affected the Burke area throughout Thursday.

Fairfax County Police said flooding has closed Burke Road between Mill Cove Court and Heritage Square Drive, as well as Burke Lake Road between Ox Road and the Fairfax County Parkway. Burke and the rest of Fairfax County is under a flash flood warning Thursday, July 6 through 7 p.m.

Over 20 residents near Hall and Stewart Streets lost power due to a tree that fell on a power line. In addition, Over 50 customers west of Burke Lake lost power. See real time outages and expected times for restoration here.
