Reality TV matriarch Mama June Shannon has been staying out of the spotlight ever since she got weight loss surgery in 2015 — but according to her daughters Honey Boo Boo (a.k.a., Alana) and Pumpkin (a.k.a., Lauryn), she couldn't be more excited to share her journey over the past couple years with the world.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo stars opened up about WEtv's upcoming docu-dramedy Mama June: From Not to Hot, and discussed how their mom has gone from 460 pounds to a size 4 over the last couple years.

"She had gastric sleeve back in May of 2015, and then she slowly started losing weight, and the reason she got the gastric sleeve was because she hit a plateau — she couldn't lose any weight," Pumpkin said. "And then it came to a point where [the trainer] had to step in because she hit another plateau with the gastric sleeve, and wasn't losing any more weight."

The two also revealed that Mama June has gotten a couple of other surgeries since, in order to remove excess skin and to lift her breasts. But when pressed as to how much weight Mama June had lost or if they could share anything else, Honey Boo Boo, Pumpkin, and Mama June's trainer demurred — stating the main reason she's been staying out of the spotlight is because she wants her big reveal to be on the show.

"It is very hard because Mama, she is a very stubborn person, and she wants to do everything," Pumpkin said. "She's like, 'Alright, I've got to go to the store,' and we're like, 'Mama, no, you need to stay in the house because if somebody gets a picture with you'... Even if she does go out, she has to be, like, suited up."

Mama June: From Not to Hot premieres on WEtv on Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. EST.
