Morecambe man arrested after online sting
A man has been arrested in Morecambe's Arndale Centre and charged with grooming following an online sting by a team of parents known as Internet Interceptors.
Police were called at 11.20am on Tuesday June 14 to the shopping centre following reports a man had been detained by several members of the public.
Officers attended and arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of grooming.
Arthur Douglas, of Westgate, Morecambe, was charged with grooming and was due to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court this morning June 15.
