Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s brothers and “crazy” friends grated badly on campaign manager John Podesta, who wished he could send them on an 18-month cruise to get them out of the way, newly-leaked emails reveal.

The emails in question are between Podesta and Neera Tanden, the president of the Center for American Progress and a frequent confidant of Podesta. In the emails, leaked Tuesday by Wikileaks as part of its ongoing publication of Podesta’s inbox, Tanden congratulates Podesta for shooting down Clinton when she proposed that a friend of hers be given a job.

“Glad you said no,” Tanden says. “When h [Hillary] asked us to hire her old friend.”

“Yup,” Podesta said. “Maybe we can rent the Queen Mary for the next 18 months and fill it with her brothers and assorted crazy hangers on sail around and around.”

Tony and Hugh Rodham, Clinton’s brothers, are repeatedly unwelcome political distractions for Clinton, thanks to their tendency to use the Clintons for personal financial gain. (RELATED: DHS Won’t Investigate Official Who Fast-Tracked Visas For Hillary’s Brother)

Similarly, long-time Clinton friends like Sidney Blumenthal have sometimes become irritations as well. In another leaked email, Podesta lamented that Blumenthal was lost in a “web of conspiracies” and that further, he pays “zero attention” to anything he says, Podesta adds.
