Divergent fans, rejoice!
The final trailer for The Divergent Series: Insurgent has been released, revealing a few new exciting and shocking elements. In the action-packed clip, Shailene Woodley reprises her role as the heroine Beatrice (Tris) Prior. However, this time she chops off her enviable locks in order to lead a life as a fugitive with her fellow Divergent crew.
The trailer begins by showing Tris on the run as she tries to avoid being captured by Kate Winslet's character, the Erudite leader Jeanine. Throughout the video, Woodley can be seen jumping through glass, gun-slinging at her enemies and hanging on for dear life.
"You are living proof that the Divergent problem has grown beyond all control," she is told by her brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort).
Theo James, who plays the hunky heartthrob Four, also joins forces with his ladylove Tris to break the corruptive social order enforcing people to choose factions.
The dangerous quest calls for Tris and Four to fight all odds in order to rescue what is left of civilization.
In an interview with the Today show, Woodley revealed, "It is a young adult novel, but the movies reach an audience that's far beyond just the young adult demographic. I think that there's an essence of something that's more mature, which I think compliments the themes in the books really well."
Insurgent, which also stars Miles Teller and Zoe Kravitz, will hit theaters March 20.
