ATHENS — It took a year, but Faton Bauta is following Mike Bobo across the country.

Bauta, who revealed he was transferring from Georgia two weeks ago, has committed to Colorado State, the school announced on Friday night.

Bobo recruited Bauta to Georgia four years ago when he was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Bobo then left to become Colorado State’s head coach almost exactly a year ago.

Bauta will be eligible to play right away as a graduate transfer, and will have one year of eligibility remaining. He started one game this season at Georgia, the 27-3 loss to Florida. Bauta did not see significant action at quarterback at any other point in his Georgia career.
