People are claiming Burger King’s Halloween Whopper – the one with the spooky black bun – turns your poo green.

Which is pretty scary to be fair.

The black burger is now available in the US and the UK until October 31.

And, according to early reviews on Twitter, the true horror of the Halloween Whopper only becomes clear when you see it on the other side.

Yep. #Green Poo is now trending. What a time to be alive.

File this under TMI.

While for some the thought of green poo is a bit of a turn-off…

..others just want to watch the world burn.

There was speculation Burger King had future holidays in mind.

Inevitably, some people just had to share the evidence. Warning: you click at your own risk.

So, why is everyone’s poo turning green? Well, a quick Google search shows that black food colouring is often made using green dye, which often results in bright green poo.

And it does seem that Burger King has used food colouring to make its black burgers, in the US at least.

The detailed nutritional information PDF online states: ‘The flavoring and food colorings used to color the HA.1.®LOWEEN WHOPPER® black bun in the US, are commonly used in the industry and within the safe and Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).’
