CLEVELAND, Ohio - According to NPR, tonight's first debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump could be the most watched presidential debate in history. And it won't even be close.

NPR suggests the Clinton-Trump debate could draw more than 100 million viewers, giving it the potential to have as many, if not more watchers than the Super Bowl, which routinely approaches 115 million viewers.

Tonight's debate, which will take place at Hofstra University in New York, is the first between a female presidential candidate and reality star, giving it added appeal. Nielsen suggests tonight's event will top the 46 million household viewership record for presidential debates held by Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's first debate in 2012.

Tonight's festivities begin at 9 p.m., airing on all broadcast networks as well as cable networks like MSNBC, Fox News and CNN, which is sure to aid its viewership numbers.

The debate's biggest ratings competition will be a potentially high-scoring Monday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints on ESPN.
