The Dragons in 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Are Going to Be *Gigantic*

Literally as big as airplanes.

Although the episode count is smaller in the next season of Game of Thrones, the dragons certainly are not. Daenerys Targaryen's massive pets are reportedly the size of Boeing aircrafts in the upcoming installment of the series.

"The dragons this year are the size of 747s," Matt Shakman, one of next season's four directors, told Entertainment Weekly. (That's about 230 feet long and 210 feet in wingspan, according to the mag.)

"Drogon is the biggest of the bunch—his flame is 30-feet in diameter!" Shakman added. They've certainly grown up since this:

The last time we saw Daenerys' dragons was in the final scene of season six: they flew overhead as Dany and her fleet, Tyrion, the Greyjoys, the Unsullied, and the Dothraki sailed for King's Landing. If airplane-sized dragons don't help Khaleesi conquer Westeros, I'm not sure what will.
